Being ready for a fight DOES NOT make you brave. Contrary to popular belief, choosing peace is not for the weak.
What is peace?
The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.
Peace is a blessing from God. It is powerful weapon to be used in spiritual warfare.
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…

You can only have peace in your life if you also have the Holy Spirit in your life. It is the key that unlocks the good things in your life.
Why should you make peace instead of trouble?
It’s the key to a good life.
For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.

Let’s be honest. You can’t control the favor and fortune you receive in this life. You can’t rub a lamp and get your wishes granted. What you can control is your own actions. You can seek peace, pursue it, and then you can enjoy the good things in life.
It’s the key to good relationships.
Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
You’ve heard the scripture, “My people perish for a lack of knowledge.” Well our people fall short of the grace of God and live in constant state of turmoil—without peace. Without peace, you stretch and reach for a moment of calm–a moment of quiet, but you’re stuck in a noisy room. Without peace, there is only trouble.
It’s the key to a good return on your investment.
Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
What does peace look like in your life?
Take a moment to picture peace in your life.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Close your eyes. Think of an area of your life that is lacking peace. It may be a particular relationship or a project you’re working on. It could be all of your relationships or a certain time of day. Rush hour can be a trigger for a lot of people. Envision yourself making peace in that area. What does that look like?
If you’re doing it right, you won’t have to fight.
When the LORD takes pleasure in anyone’s way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them.
Love what God loves. Hate what He hates. If you live a life that is pleasing to God, He will make your path straight and fight your battles for you. It’s a win-win situation.
God’s blessings will rain down on you.
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
When you let God take the lead, you will find great peace. Trouble and tough circumstances may come, but you will be armed with something much more powerful. You will have the sustenance and support of the Almighty God. There is nothing greater.
How do you cultivate peace?
Trust in the Lord
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
Before you try to bring peace to the Middle East, get some for yourself. Try trusting God at a time you are normally full of doubt and anxiety. Even if you can’t see the next step with your own eyes, walk in faith wherever God is leading you. Focus on the good
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Remember that God works miracles, not magic.
Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
Miracles happen when people surrender their broken hearts to a loving God. Everyone has a choice in loving God and some people will choose to fight Him instead. Peace on Earth is not going to happen because you snap your fingers. It is not going to fall down like rain or manna. It is going to be sown into people’s lives through honest work and good intention.
Moment of truth: We live in a crazy, beautiful world. But for those who don’t know the Lord, there is much more crazy than beautiful. Imagine someone alone in a dark room, trying to read a map… that’s where you come in. It’s your choice to either bring more darkness, or to come and shine a light.
